Khaki khaki khaki

Backstage at Balmain's

As the famous blogger Garance Dore (http://www.garancedore.fr/en) puts it: "Khaki is the new black". Yup, that's right! Khaki is the big trend this season and we're already in love with it! To get that distressed and destroyed look, think utility.

Balmain showed us some great pieces that are totally worth checking out: (hopefully you guys have already done that, riight?)

The models at Altuzarra as well, were dressed in khaki. Although Joseph's collection was not that rough as Balmain's, it is totally loveable.

The fashionistas love the utility inspired trend ...

Pastels

This season, it is all about the pastels. Whatever your personal style, make sure to bring colours of candy pink, lemon yellow, sherbet orange or powder blue into your wardrobe.

Go for it, and dress in pastels from top to toe. You may even use the same colour all over. Do use different types of shades and fabric though; thin chiffon, silk and cotton will look lovely together.

Think it is all too cute? Well, to sex it up and go for a rougher look, add black accessories to your outfit; a pair of black shoes together with a short, pastel coloured dress; a black blazer under a rose-coloured chiffon blouse, you name it!

Take a look at some of the top pastel filled collections of the season:

Giles went for hard-edged metallic pastels, prom frocks and pastel-coloured dinosaur bags!

In New York, Preen showed a collection filled with tone-in-tone outfits in floatingly fabrics in gorgeous colours as pigeon-blue, silver, pink and yellow.

Louise Goldin’s collection was all about studs and knitting in pale blue, mint green and lilac!

Viktor & Rolf amazed the audience with massive gaping holes carefully drilled through the layers of pastel tulle structures.

Christopher Kane’s SS10 collection introduced us to something like a ladylike affair with delectated beading and tight-high double slits in the skirts.
